Florence Melton Adult Mini-school (Sessions continue in October 2012)
Overview Classes:
Tuesdays with Rabbi
(Rabbi Spiegel) - Tuesdays, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the Cohen Library. Make Tuesday mornings your quality time. Join Rabbi Spiegel in weekly group study of traditional texts and discussion of their relevance to modern life.

Introduction to Judaism (Rabbi Spiegel) - Wednesday evenings, from 7:45 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. This course is designed for those considering conversion to Judaism or for anyone simply interested in studying “the basics.”

Adult B’nai Mitzvah (Rabbi Spiegel and Hazzan Duek) - New Classes Forming -Sunday mornings beginning October 10th from 10:45 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. Studies included in this class: Hebrew reading, Prayer Skills, Torah Reading, Holidays & Festivals, Jewish Music and more. The TEC Adult B’nai Mitzvah class will celebrate their beautiful B’nai Mitzvah ceremony in Spring of 2012.

Adult Confirmation (Rabbi Spiegel and Hazzan Duek) - Sunday mornings, from 10:45 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. Included in this class: study of Jewish concepts, philosophy, customs, Torah and prayers. Basic reading knowledge of Hebrew a pre-requisite.

Wednesday Evening Series - Scheduled as 5 consecutive Wednesday evening classes from 7:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M, each Wednesday evening series presents a unique subject matter which is developed in depth over the 5-class period.

TEC Book Club - Generally, the book club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7 P.M. in the Scherr Conference Room or as published. Since its inception in 2001, TEC Book Club is still going strong with avid readers and lively discussion. TEC Book Club is the place to be if your niche is reading and discussing some of the best-selling and best written books … primarily by Jewish authors or about Jewish themes. Florence Melton Adult Mini-School - University level curriculum courses, created by the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, will continue during Fall 2012 at Temple Etz Chaim. Please refer to the course flyer for full details. The second season of courses kick off during October 2012. See a flyer for 2012-2013 classes. Note, enrollment in last year's courses is not required.
